Hi. I've triggered rebuilds in reproducible builds and it also fails there:
https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/rb-pkg/unstable/amd64/rmpi.html in both testing and unstable, so it should be easy to reproduce. (i.e. please try it for yourself first). Thanks.
