Gajim doesn't show any persistent notification in the system tray in Plasma 5. When messages are received, popups and audio notifications work as expected, however there is no indication in the system tray that there are unread messages or other missed events. In Debian Jessie with KDE 4 the Gajim icon in the system tray blinks, instead in Plasma 5 it does nothing.
