After starting, the work area flickers up to 30 times. The flickering repeats itself with every character input and moust mouse actions. It seems that the upper part of the work area gets redrawn 30 times in about half a minute. We could verify this behavior on an Intel core duo, an AMD E350 as well as in a Virtual Box intallation.
