Could you please consider cherry-picking the following commit [1]: [1] https://github.com/numpy/numpy/commit/2144aa713b607a5f0592525d9b36adca332e9d51 This regression affects src:bottleneck (see #851613), but was not triaged earlier because the tests had never been enabled. :-( I have forwarded the necessary commits to get the packaging of src:bottleneck tested both at build time and with debian-ci, but in the current state of things, it would FTBFS due to the regression.
