in order to have the Lato fonts show up in GNOME Software and KDE
Discover, the package needs to install an AppStream metainfo file, a
tiny bit of XML describing the software.
I attached a debdiff adding the file to fonts-lato.
This package was one of the few I used for testing when developing the
appstream-generator feature that makes fonts available, so this chunk
of metadata received a fair amount of testing already.
It would be awesome if this patch could be applied, maybe there is
even still time to make it into Stretch ;-)
