I have installed the 5.0 version in current unstable and could not reproduce the problem either.
However, other problems (which probably deserve their own bug report but I'm in a hurry): * turn on File > Direct mode. Quit Dasher. Start it again. Note that the checkbox in the File menu is now inverted (i.e. Direct Mode is enabled but the checkbox is off, and vice versa) * as I type my email in Thunderbird, dasher doesn't pick up what's behind the cursor. Works with gedit or terminal. Doesn't seem to work with KDE programs (tested: knotes). * "pause outside of canvas" option doesn't work when leaving the canvas to the right. -- -- Matthias Urlichs
