No, please see the Debian Python policy. https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/python-policy/ch-python3.html My opinion is that chrome-gnome-shell is more of a program than a library. But even it we consider it a library, Debian policy says it's ok to drop python2 if no reverse dependencies need python2 support. There is nothing in Debian or elsewhere that needs chrome-gnome-shell's python2 support. Thanks, Jeremy Bicha
