What does AST stand for?

The description should make enough sense to a casual reader that they
can work out that they don't need it if they do not need it.  I think
you should include a sentence about the fact that this is related to
node.js, and what node.js might be.

The ### is a markdown heading indication, which doesn't do anything
useful here.
