Package: udisks2 Version: 2.1.3-5 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer,
Whenever I insert a USB stick or SD card I get lines like this in the syslog: Feb 3 15:33:09 laptop org.gtk.Private.UDisks2VolumeMonitor[1080]: index_parse.c:191: indx_parse(): error opening /media/ll/Slask 4GB/BDMV/index.bdmv Feb 3 15:33:09 laptop org.gtk.Private.UDisks2VolumeMonitor[1080]: index_parse.c:191: indx_parse(): error opening /media/ll/Slask 4GB/BDMV/BACKUP/index.bdmv >From what I can tell, this is because the volume monitor tries to detect the new filesystem as a bluray disc, and failing. Which is fine, because it isn't a bluray disc. I think this shouldn't be printed to the syslog, it adds noise and makes it more difficult to find real problems. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.6 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 4.7.0-0.bpo.1-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages udisks2 depends on: ii dbus 1.8.20-0+deb8u1 ii libacl1 2.2.52-2 ii libatasmart4 0.19-3 ii libc6 2.19-18+deb8u6 ii libglib2.0-0 2.42.1-1+b1 ii libgudev-1.0-0 215-17+deb8u5 ii libpam-systemd 215-17+deb8u5 ii libpolkit-agent-1-0 0.105-15~deb8u2 ii libpolkit-gobject-1-0 0.105-15~deb8u2 ii libsystemd0 215-17+deb8u5 ii libudisks2-0 2.1.3-5 ii parted 3.2-7 ii udev 215-17+deb8u5 Versions of packages udisks2 recommends: ii dosfstools 3.0.27-1 ii eject 2.1.5+deb1+cvs20081104-13.1 ii gdisk 0.8.10-2 ii ntfs-3g 1:2014.2.15AR.2-1+deb8u3 ii policykit-1 0.105-15~deb8u2 Versions of packages udisks2 suggests: pn btrfs-tools <none> ii cryptsetup-bin 2:1.6.6-5 ii exfat-utils 1.1.0-2+deb8u1 pn mdadm <none> pn reiserfsprogs <none> pn xfsprogs <none> -- no debconf information
