Package: emacs24 Version: 24.5+1-8 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, I noticed that "package-refresh-contents" hangs while contacting elpa.gnu.org:80. If I try to redefine repositories to use HTTPS, I get the same problem as in: https://github.com/nicferrier/elmarmalade/issues/55.
It may be that the Wifi connection which I use currently is a bit wonky, but it seems to work for everything else without any problem. Steps to reproduce: run non-configured emacs and then "M-x package-refresh- contents".
