Hmmm, nothing in #350050 does tell that this RC bug should be ignored
in some way so I find pretty logical that the package does not enter
testing.

However: is this bug really RC?

All these python things are mostly unknown stuff to me but does this
really "makes the package in question unusable"....or are there only
*parts* of the package that are broken, which means that the bug is
indeed "important" and not "grave".
