 I also run Stretch, also on amd64 and revelation still works for me:
$ dpkg -l revelation python-crypto
ii  python-crypto  2.6.1-7      amd64        cryptographic algorithms and prot
ii  revelation     0.4.14-3     amd64        GNOME2 Password manager

# starting and using it, then quit:
$ revelation
$

 What do you get if you do:
$ python -c 'from Crypto.Util.randpool import RandomPool'

Did you install anything from experimental or mixed your Stretch with
some Sid packages? I use Stretch for a while, constantly updating it.
I don't experience any problem with revelation.
