Aparently the above is wrong.
"man maxima" told me that
-- list-avail
List the available Lisp and Maxima versions.
Sorry for my simple mistake!
And on the stable system,
$ maxima --list-avail
Available versions:
version 5.34.1, lisp gcl
Fine! But on the unstable system,
$ maxima --list-avail
Available versions:
No information at all!
For example, texmacs searches maxima with "maxima --list-avail"
but, on unstable system, there is no useful response so
texmacs thinks there is no available maxima installed.
This is an important regression so please fix this.
