It's not immediate, and that changes everything :) It crashes at exit.

Yes and no. The problem seems to have arisen with the new libc6 package,
2.23.  Previous versions of libc6 didn't pose problem.  I thus guess
it's a change of behavior in libc6 that triggered the issue.

Yes, but that's what you can only expect by relying on non-free
software, unfortunately. I know the begins and ends of all this, and I
can still only say that.

That's a completely separate issue, and you found the corresponding

But as explained, don't work, thus using the 32bit version. But the
problem really is not there: that same binary crashes all the same on a
32bit box.

Did anyone think about just mailing Thierry DUTOIT

about it.  Yes, that's what happens with non-free software.

In the meanwhile, since it crashes at exit, I will upload an ugly
workaround that makes exit just exit without trying to clean.
