Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
Upgrade to ifupdown2_1.0~git20170223-1_all.deb
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Just tried to upgrade.
* What was the outcome of this action?
Installation failed
preinst: Error: existing diversion for /sbin/ifup
Worked around by removing the diversions, rewriting the preinst-script.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Installation finishes fine.
* What is the cause?
The preinst:10 contains a localized grep filter 'by ifupdown2$'.
In german the "dpkg-divert --list /sbin/ifup" returns
"Umleitung von /sbin/ifup zu /sbin/ifup.disabled durch ifupdown2"
The if-clause fails for that reason, reports an error and exits 1.
Please remove "by " from the grep-filter.
Thank you very much!
