Package: mongodb-server Version: 1:2.4.10-5 Severity: minor This Problem results in a restart loop in combination with this puppet module:
https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppetlabs-mongodb The Puppet module checks, and fixes permissions in /var/lib/mongodb. Because the puppet module detects changes, the mongodb process is reloaded. This resoults in a journal-file to be recreated with mongodb:nogroup. At the next Puppet run the cycle starts again. I realise that my problem is very Puppet specific, however I think mongodb should realy use the mongodb group. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.7 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to en_US.UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages mongodb-server depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii init-system-helpers 1.22 ii libboost-filesystem1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libboost-program-options1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libboost-system1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libboost-thread1.55.0 1.55.0+dfsg-3 ii libc6 2.19-18+deb8u7 ii libgcc1 1:4.9.2-10 ii libgoogle-perftools4 2.2.1-0.2 ii libpcre3 2:8.35-3.3+deb8u4 ii libpcrecpp0 2:8.35-3.3+deb8u4 ii libsnappy1 1.1.2-3 ii libssl1.0.0 1.0.1t-1+deb8u6 ii libstdc++6 4.9.2-10 ii libv8-3.14.5 3.14.5.8-8.1 ii mongodb-clients 1:2.4.10-5 mongodb-server recommends no packages. mongodb-server suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/mongodb.conf changed [not included] -- no debconf information
