Thanks for that option — I’ve always found the previous default (merge) to be irritating. The description of the “replace” option elegantly expresses why that is: in “3.0 (quilt)” packages, upstream sources are supposed to be untouched. I’ve been using --merge-mode=replace without any issues. Given that your message is dated August 2015, and we’re now at the end of March 2017, has enough time passed to move forward with making “replace” the default? :) Thanks in advance, -- Best regards, Michael
