Package: gnomad2 Version: 2.8.1-1 Severity: important A friend of mine has a creative zen micro, and has noticed gnomad2 fails to run since the upgrade to the etch version. The error message is (in Catalan): "usb_set_configuration: L'operaci". It is obviously truncated, and in the standard error, she could read: (gnomad2:8089): Pango-WARNING **: Invalid UTF-8 string passed to pango_layout_set_text()
When run with the C locale, the application starts and runs correctly. I haven't made her try with a UTF-8 locale, but I guess at least part of the problem comes from a non-UTF8 locale. I suspect something (maybe the patch to bug#279008) isn't properly converting an error message to the current encoding. I'm sorry not to be able to give further input myself, as I don't have such hardware. Regards, -- .''`.
