Please, consider replacing recommendation of gawk for virtual package awk (e.g. mawk, original-awk, gawk). That, of course, if you consider gawk not to be absolutely needed for proper dict functionality. I have been successfuly using dict for years, although original-awk is installed instead of gawk.
