Package: flatpak Version: 0.9.2-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
Flatpak relies on portals to communicate to some services. Currently in Debian they are in the recommended packages, but none is installed once Flatpak is installed. This is wrong, the installation of Flatpak should always pull at least one of the portals installation. So far, only portal-gtk is available, so it's safe to assume to install that one. Withouth this, Flatpak applications cannot open other services like other apps or the gtkfilechooser. FWIW this is the behaviour followed in Arch and Fedora (and soon OpenSUSE and Ubuntu) -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages flatpak depends on: ii bubblewrap 0.1.8-1 ii fuse 2.9.3-15+deb8u2 ii libarchive13 3.1.2-11+deb8u1 ii libc6 2.19-18+deb8u4 ii libfuse2 2.9.3-15+deb8u2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.52.0-1 ii libgpgme11 1.5.1-6 ii libjson-glib-1.0-0 1.0.2-1 ii libostree-1-1 2017.5-1 ii libpolkit-gobject-1-0 0.105-8 ii libseccomp2 2.1.1-1 ii libsoup2.4-1 2.48.0-1 ii libxau6 1:1.0.8-1 Versions of packages flatpak recommends: ii desktop-file-utils 0.22-1 pn gtk-update-icon-cache <none> ii hicolor-icon-theme 0.13-1 ii libpam-systemd 215-17+deb8u4 ii shared-mime-info 1.3-1 pn xdg-desktop-portal-gtk | xdg-desktop-portal-backend <none> flatpak suggests no packages.
