There are packages requiring OpenCV's modules that are only present in contrib. At the very least libkf5kface requires the 'face' module. If my tests are correct also gst-plugins-bad1.0 requires a contrib module (bgsegm, but I'm waiting on the experimental packages to be installable to file a Debian bug for this). There is a WIP/prototype for that in the with-contrib branch: https://anonscm.debian.org/git/debian-science/packages/opencv.git/log/?h=with-contrib Solving this bug is a prerequisite for the OpenCV 3.x transition. If I had to comment on that branch, I'd say that: * instead of doing that fancy work in d/rules it would be better to use the features the new d/watch (i.e. uscan) version=4 provides for support of multiple upstream tarballs * for removing non-dfsg files using Files-Excluded in d/copyright would feel a lot clearer -- regards, Mattia Rizzolo GPG Key: 66AE 2B4A FCCF 3F52 DA18 4D18 4B04 3FCD B944 4540 .''`. more about me: https://mapreri.org : :' : Launchpad user: https://launchpad.net/~mapreri `. `'` Debian QA page: https://qa.debian.org/developer.php?login=mattia `-
