Package: torcs-data-cars Version: 1.3.3+dfsg-0.4 Severity: serious while I was working on a new upstream version of Torcs, I discovered that the Debian package includes many non-free car models. The license of these car models is as follows:
* Copyright / Permissions * ********** Authors may NOT use this car as a base to build additional cars. ********* You MAY distribute this car, provided you include this file, with NO MODIFICATIONS. You may distribute this file in any electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include this file intact, with NO charge (other than incidental charges for time spent on-line). Obviously the license does not allow users to modify the models or create derivative works of them. The models can be easily removed and there are still a lot of free car models to enjoy the game.
