Hi Santiago, Thanks for your continued investigation. Unfortunately, I still don't think we've gotten to the bottom of this issue. I just built the package multiple times in a row with both pbuilder and sbuild, and pbuilder does seem to include those lines. Inside my newly recreated Debian unstable pbuilder environment: # cat /etc/hosts 127.0.0.1 localhost 127.0.1.1 desktop # The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts ::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback fe00::0 ip6-localnet ff00::0 ip6-mcastprefix ff02::1 ip6-allnodes ff02::2 ip6-allrouters Interestingly, my newly recreated Debian unstable sbuild environment does not contain those lines: # cat /etc/hosts 127.0.0.1 desktop localhost After logging into the chroot and adding them, I am still able to successfully build the package. Either way, it seems obvious that this test is currently too noisy to be useful. So I'll prepare an upload disabling it as well.
