Looks like a known bug i cannot explain again.
Can you check the database file is empty ?
ls -l ~/.gcompris/shared/profiles/gcompris_sqlite.db
Try to remove this file and to rerun "gcompris -D -a 2>&1 | tee log" and
send me (directly) the log file please.
