Overload.pm is no more in perl-base - it seems to be needed in some debconf-stuff. This is from a pretty clean sid chroot. debootstrap sarge + upgrade + installing vim & sudo Installing perl-base from testing or perl from unstable makes things work. looks like overload.pm has been moved from perl-base to perl - this might not be good. # sudo apt-get install locales Reading package lists...
