Package: zfs-dkms Version: 0.6.5.9-5 Severity: important Tags: d-i Dear Maintainer,
Installing ZFS on a (mostly) fresh install of stretch from the weekly non-free ISO image... For some reason it's not automatic loading the zfs module on reboots after installation. This leads to many errors in boot log such as: zfs-zed.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE zfs-share.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE Failed to start MOUNT ZFS filesystems. Failed to start ZFS file system shares. Failed to initialize libzfs. The ZFS modules are not loaded. Try running '/sbin/modprobe zfs' as root to load them. I added a line for 'zfs' to /etc/modules and things are booting up just fine now. P.S. I also had to workaround the /usr/bin/rm issue affecting ZFS with a 'ln -s /bin/rm /usr/bin/rm' but i dont believe that affects this issue. -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages zfs-dkms depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.61 ii dkms 2.3-2 ii lsb-release 9.20161125 ii spl-dkms 0.6.5.9-1 Versions of packages zfs-dkms recommends: ii zfs-zed 0.6.5.9-5 ii zfsutils-linux 0.6.5.9-5 zfs-dkms suggests no packages. -- debconf information: zfs-dkms/stop-build-for-unknown-kernel: true zfs-dkms/stop-build-for-32bit-kernel: true * zfs-dkms/note-incompatible-licenses:
