It' builds fine, thanks! There's a little problem with the orig tarball, which is in tar.gz format, and that I always repackage into tar.xz before building to save space. As a side note to this: don't really know why upstream doesn't provide tar.xz tarballs, I've submitted a patch some years ago¹ but nobody has answered so far. Maybe you can convince Hiroyuki-san that smaller tarballs are better ;-) I've noticed also your name in debian/control file should be changed to the same you use for debian/changelog or viceversa, whatever you prefer. Keeping differently written names makes the tools think we're doing a wrongly versioned NMU², which is not really true. Can you please prepare the upload with the above changes?
