Hi, Checking the changelogs and all, I found that the current stable version of the TracTags plugin - 0.9 - supports trac 1.2.
It is available at https://pypi.python.org/pypi/TracTags I downloaded the source package and updated the upstream version, the changelog and all, built the package, and it seems to work fine. It's a pity this plugin was not updated in Debian since Jessie. If you find it valuable, I can send the 0.9 packages, but there's not much more to it than a 0.9 update.
