The gnome-hearts package doesn't seem to use gnome-vfs directly but rather gains the dependency via libgnomeui which lists it in Requires in the pkg-config file, which leads to "leaking" the linking to users like gnome-hearts. Solving it should thus be accomplished by porting gnome-hearts away from libgnomeui which is also deprecated. Unfortunately gnome-hearts upstream urls http://www.gnome-hearts.org/download/ (as documented in debian/copyright) http://www.jejik.com/gnome-hearts/ (which ArchLinux documents as Upstream URL) are both dead. The primary maintainer doesn't seem to have touched the package since 2008. Maybe it's time to just RM gnome-hearts? If someone wants to revive it I think they should do so by becoming the new upstream for it. Regards, Andreas Henriksson
