Dear maintainer,

Your package is {build-}depending against gnome-vfs which is
deprecated for quite some times now and has been replaced by gvfs.

We are thinking about removing gnome-vfs for Buster if possible.

Could you please verify that this dependency is mandatory and if it's
not the case, could you please remove it?

that you know the question from the top of your head...

Do you know if gvfs is API-compatible?  K-3D is a heavy user of Gtk+
interface (despite the name, it's not a KDE-based program), so I guess
that it'll loose some functionality like mounting devices.

No gnome-vfs and gvfs are not compatible, but...

Quickly looking at the code k3d seems to only use gnome-vfs to identify mime-types and start the default associated application, this functionality is now provided by the glib/gio, see:
