Package: gimp
Version: 2.8.18-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

A crash occure when I try to use the text tool.

Steps to reproduce:
1. open an image
2. select the text tool
4. Click into the image

Unlike bug report #376821, it is happening even if antialiasing is activated,
also it crash on click (so no text can be entered).

Here is the console output :
The program 'gimp' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
  (Details: serial 9987 error_code 3 request_code 1 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

(script-fu:1322): LibGimpBase-WARNING **: script-fu: gimp_wire_read(): error

My graphic card is a Radeon HD 6870 and I use the open source driver radeon.

Best regards,
Gibon
