Package: courier-mta
Version: 0.76.3-5
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
when I upgrade from Jessie to Stretch this message appears and the
upgrade process stops:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
courier-mta-ssl : Depends: courier-mta (>= 0.75.0-1~) but 0.73.1-1.6
is installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.
When I run "apt-get -f install" this message is shown:
Preparing to unpack .../courier-mta_0.76.3-5_amd64.deb ...
Unpacking courier-mta (0.76.3-5) over (0.73.1-1.6) ...
dpkg: error processing archive
/var/cache/apt/archives/courier-mta_0.76.3-5_amd64.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/etc/courier/esmtpd-ssl', which is also in
package courier-mta-ssl 0.76.3-5
dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
/var/cache/apt/archives/courier-mta_0.76.3-5_amd64.deb
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
To solve this it's necessary to run the following commands:
dpkg -i --force-overwrite
/var/cache/apt/archives/courier-mta_0.76.3-5_amd64.deb
apt-get -f install
It would great when you could fix this in another patch.
Best Regards
Steven
