Hi, at least I could call a method on a DateTime::Set object returned by DateTime::Event::Sunrise->sunrise. I don't think it's worth it's worth my time to check any further if the incompatibility of DateTime::Event::Sunrise with some version of DateTime::Set is still a thing 10 years later, especially given I could find no description of what the actual problem is more precise than "not compatible".
Current popon: Inst = 56, Vote = 9. Given what the current upstream maintainer explains on the Launchpad bug report gregor pointed to (i.e. we're shipping "a module which was just a proof of concept and which had an active life of just 4 days before becoming obsolete. And this module is buggy."), I agree with gregor that we should remove this package from the archive. *If* the DateTime::Event::Sunrise issue is still a thing, then that's a bug to be reported elsewhere. And if someone really wants to use DateTime::Astro::Sunrise instead, then IMO they should step up and maintain it upstream before we re-introduce it into the archive: it's not pkg-perl's mission to become the de facto upstream maintainer for obsolete developer releases from 14 years ago. I'll request the removal right away. Cheers, -- intrigeri
