This bug is still present in emacs25. The error message has slightly changed to "No selection is available". To reproduce, in a virtual terminal: 1. Double-click on a word with button 1 (left button). -> The word is selected and can be pasted outside Emacs with the middle button. 2. Run "emacs -Q". 3. Paste by clicking with button 2 (middle button). -> error "No selection is available". or 1. Run "emacs -Q". 2. Double-click on a word with button 1 (left button). -> The word is selected. 3.
