Looking at the changelogs for libgnomeprintui in the GNOME CVS, there's reference to page ranges in commits around 2002-05-06 and plenty of references to range ui and range widgets in 2000 -- is this definitely a libgnomeui issue or is evince disabling the range widgets or something similar?
