Dear Maintainer,
Hi - Cinnamon in previous versions had an exposed preference to allow you to
move the default panel from the bottom of the screen to the top.
It appears in Cinnamon 3 - at least in 3.2.7 as shipped by Debian in sid/buster
- this preference is no longer present in the configuration/settings app. At
least I can't find it, and I can't find any references to the feature online.
Other people besides me miss this feature.
The actual feature still exists and works - if you manually set the setting
with gsettings as follows:
gsettings set org.cinnamon panels-enabled "['1:0:top']"
... it will correctly move the panel to the top of the screen, and everything
continues to work fine. So there seems to be little reason to hide this
feature, given that it was previously exposed and many people came to depend on
it.
Please add - or convince upstream to add - this setting back to those exposed
in the settings app.
