Yes, it is released to experimental because it is not yet usable. Furthermore I messed up the git sources so was unable to release improved packages until it was approved from ftpmaster. What I have prepared (and hopefully find time to release today) is more complete but still has a lot of loose ends. You are quite welcome to join me in maintaining mediagoblin - but if you want to just work then wait until it gets released to unstable.
