Hello,

thank you for the report and sorry for the delay. It looks like an
OpenGL issue to me. Neverball's code didn't change between Stretch and
Buster but there is an ongoing update of Mesa. I have also found a
recent pull request [1] in upstream's Git repository that mentions the
stars to squares change. I will test with this new ENABLE_OPENGLES
option but due to the Mesa update libgles1-mesa-dev cannot be installed
right now, so we need to monitor this situation for a while.
