Package: nethogs Version: 0.8.0-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** I installed nethogs and it does not run. I am running it as root user. I get the following error message 'creating socket failed while establishing local IP - are you root?'. I have seen on the web that this has been fixed however this upgraded nethogs has not made to Debian 8.9. Does the updated nethogs package need to be pushed down to this version of Debian? I am willing to test the newer version of nethogs, but I need guidance on how to proceed.
