I've implemented a fix for that. Now fai-diskimage detects which volume group your host is using and sets the variable SS_IGNORE_VG with a list of vg's to ignore. This is then used by setup-storage.
It's fixed in FAI 5.4~beta9. You can try the new beta version by adding this line to your sources.list: deb http://fai-project.org/download beta-testing koeln -- regards Thomas
