Package: udev Version: 0.084-3 Severity: normal I am running debian testing on a laptop with a SATA hard-disk. I access my cdrom throug /dev/scd0.
Since the last upgrade of udev, when I issue the following command cdrecord -scanbus it reports the following error cdrecord: No such file or directory. Cannot open '/dev/pg*'. Cannot open SCSI driver. This problem seems to be dued to the sg module, which is not loaded at bootup anymore. If I load it manually or add it to /etc/modules, then the problem is solved. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (1099, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages udev depends on: ii initscripts 2.86.ds1-4 Standard scripts needed for bootin ii libc6 2.3.5-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libselinux1 1.28-2 SELinux shared libraries ii lsb-base 3.0-15 Linux Standard Base 3.0 init scrip ii makedev 2.3.1-80 creates device files in /dev ii sed 4.1.2-8 The GNU sed stream editor udev recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- Jérôme LELONG CERMICS ENPC tel: 01 64 15 35 75 http://cermics.enpc.fr/~lelong
