I don't know if you're still interested in this; I've not applied your patch, but instead a more generic one based on Wichert's repouid code. There's a new file /etc/cvs-repouids where you can force user mappings on a per-repository basis. It's been in woody for a while, and I've just merged it into the sarge/sid version too.
