as the current maintainer of libdpkg-log-perl I'm in the process of orphaning my packages, with this package being the only one where I am the upstream author as well. Since I'm not planning to maintain this library anymore and it actually does have a very few users [1] I think it's better to remove the package from Debian and thus I hereby request that. I may note that back when I wrote this lib (for my purposes) there were a request to include a-kind-of library (and its associated tool dpkg-report) directly with dpkg. But the changes as requested by the dpkg maintainers were basically a complete rewrite of the lib, so it probably doesn't even serve as a starting point if anyone is interested in doing that.
