Hi, You will find attached a patch to /usr/share/hal/scripts/hal-system-power-suspend that adds support for hibernate/suspend2 suspend-to-ram function. The hibernate Debian package provides for such possibility through /etc/hibernate/ram.conf. hal-system-power-hibernate script already includes support for such suspend-to-disk.
