Package: libndpi4 Version: 1.8-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
i'm using 'ntop-ng' and would like to add additional protocols via the "-p" flag. However this seems to not do anything useful. trying to debug the problem, it turns out that the nDPI protocol parser does not get initialized correctly. E.g. ~~~ # ntopng --print-ndpi-protocols nDPI detected protocols: [NDPI] ndpi_init_protocol_defaults(missing protoId=226) INTERNAL ERROR: not all protocols have been initialized [ 0] Unknown [ 1] FTP_CONTROL [...] [225] OpenDNS [226] (null) # ~~~ This might also be the cause for the error i get in ntop-ng (reported as #878123). At least this is what https://github.com/ntop/ntopng/issues/638 suggests. The supposed fix "ntop/nDPI@72e3930" seems to be port 1.8 (although in the 1.8-stable branch of upstream) -- System Information: Debian Release: 9.2 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.9.0-3-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages libndpi4 depends on: ii libc6 2.24-11+deb9u1 libndpi4 recommends no packages. libndpi4 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
