While upgrading from Debian 8 to Debian 9/stretch. We've got postfix 2.11.3-1+deb8u2 installed. This failing might be related to my debconf state; I have in /var/cache/debconf/config.dat : Name: postfix/compat_conversion_warning Template: postfix/compat_conversion_warning Value: false Owners: postfix Flags: seen Name: postfix/main_mailer_type Template: postfix/main_mailer_type Value: No configuration Owners: postfix Flags: seen All other postfix-related settings don't have any Value-field.
