This is Debian Bug #420547, an ancient issue about aide segfaulting on SPARC architectures if the whirlpool hash is enabled.

You enable whirlpool by adding "+whirlpool" ot the Checksums line in aide.conf. Does aide runin that situation? I do fully understand that you might not be willing to try this after waiting for a decade or do not have sparc systems available any more. Also, sparc is no longer a release architecture in Debian. I will therefore close this issue by the end of 2017 if no reports come in that the bug still applies.
