Package: ftp.debian.org
Severity: normal

Hi,

The test systems part of ci.debian.net are configuerd with the buildd-*
suites to make sure we are able to run tests as soon as possible for new
packages entering the archive.

I recently started working on some changes that will enable testing not
only updates to testing from unstable, but every other combination that
would be useful: testing backports against stable, testing security
updates against stable, etc. So, when creating test containers for
stable, the systems tries to add buildd-stable-proposed-updates, and it
fails, e.g.:

W: The repository 'http://incoming.debian.org/debian-buildd
buildd-stable-proposed-updates Release' does not have a Release file.
E: Failed to fetch
http://incoming.debian.org/debian-buildd/dists/buildd-stable-proposed-updates/main/source/Sources
  404 Not Found
E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones
used instead.

Since the current stable (stretch) already exists there, it would be
massively usefel to have the expected symlinks named `stable` to it.
FWIW, buildd-testing-proposed-updates is there, so also having stable
would be nice.
