Could you please try to build gpaste on non-linux architectures as well? systemd is only available on linux arch, adding "[linux-any]" next to the systemd build-dependency should fix that. An other (better?) solution would be to drop the dependency against systemd and pass "--with-systemduserunitdir=/usr/lib/systemd/user" to the configure.
