freetds fails to cross build from source, because it fails finding
gnutls with the build architecture pkg-config. After making it consider
$ac_tool_prefix by using PKG_PROG_PKG_CONFIG, freetds cross builds
successfully. Please consider applying the attached patch.
I think that we need a separate patch for debian/patches, included in
d/p/series and so on, it cannot be applied straight away.
The package looks a bit behind in terms of maintenance, with few updates
and an NMU from more than 2 years ago as the last upload, so if
maintainers don't have anything against it, I could upload a package
with this fix.
(It's a dependency of important packages like qtbase-opensource-src,
among others).
